What is IPL laser hair removal?
IPL or Intense Pulsed Light is the latest technology used in hair removal. The device used in our spa is the only device that uses both light and radio frequency to permanently reduce unwanted body hair on all types of skin colour. This device is approved by both the FDA and Health Canada.
Is it painful?
Everyone’s pain threshold is different, but generally laser hair removal is not much more painful than waxing, but the sensation is different, most people compare it to a snap of an elastic rubber band.
Does it work on everyone?
There is a small percentage of the population that does not respond to this type of procedure and the technician will be better able to evaluate you during the free consultation but more importantly with the free localized test you will see the results yourself.
How many session do I need?
The number of sessions can vary from one person to another due to many factors; depth of the root, pigmentation of the hair follicule, and the area being treated. The hair cycle also plays a critical role, as hair has three cycles and the only the hair in the active growth cycle can be eliminated. Nonetheless, the majority of the people will have satisfactory results in 4 to 8 sessions at about 6 to 10 weeks apart.
